Bombay Truck Show 2025: Bigger Rigs, Bigger Crowds, and a Big Day Out for Kiwi Trucking

The 2025 Bombay Truck Show delivered another action-packed celebration of New Zealand’s trucking culture, drawing massive crowds and an impressive showcase of chrome, horsepower, and Kiwi pride. Held just south of Auckland, the Bombay Truck Show has grown into one of the country’s most beloved community trucking events — and this year’s edition did not disappoint.

With hundreds of trucks on display and thousands of visitors roaming the field, the event captured everything we love about the industry: passion, craftsmanship, family, and the unmistakable pride that comes with keeping New Zealand moving.

A Field Full of New Zealand’s Finest Trucks

From sunrise, rigs rolled into the Bombay rugby grounds in every shape, age, and spec imaginable. Visitors were greeted with a sea of polished alloy, spotless paint, and some of the cleanest machinery the country has to offer.

The 2025 line-up included:

  • Show-condition Kenworths, DAFs, Macks, Volvos, Western Stars, Freightliners and more

  • Custom rigs with stainless work, cabinetry, murals, and lighting packages

  • Fleet trucks proudly representing linehaul, logging, livestock, bulk, and metro operators

  • Vintage and classic trucks restored by passionate owners

Each truck came with a story — whether it was a fresh fleet addition making its public debut or a decades-old workhorse kept immaculate by its owner.

Kenworth & Southpac Trucks Steal the Spotlight

Kenworth made a massive impact again this year, with operators from all over the North Island proudly presenting their best. The Southpac Trucks team was on-site supporting customers, connecting with owners, and celebrating the rigs that define excellence on New Zealand roads.

Popular highlights included:

  • The Kenworth K220 — drawing crowds eager to step inside and see the latest evolution of the iconic cabover

  • The T909, T610, and T659 — long-time favourites among Kiwi operators

  • Custom and fleet-spec Kenworths showcasing the brand’s durability, style, and driver-first design

For many attendees, the Kenworth displays were a major drawcard — and a reminder of the brand’s deep, enduring connection to New Zealand transport.

A Community Show With Serious Heart

What makes the Bombay Truck Show truly special isn’t just the machinery — it’s the purpose.
The event is run by the Bombay Lions Club, with proceeds supporting local charities, community organisations, and families in need.

Families enjoyed:

  • Food trucks and local vendors

  • Activities for kids

  • Live entertainment

  • Close-up access to hundreds of trucks

  • Meet-and-greets with operators and industry businesses

It’s a show with a big heart, built on volunteer power and community spirit — and one that continues to grow year after year.

Spotless Rigs, Tough Competition

As always, competition was fierce across categories like:

  • Best Fleet

  • Best Kenworth

  • Best Classic

  • Best Working Truck

  • Best Paint

  • People’s Choice

Owners spent countless hours preparing their rigs — buffing, polishing, scrubbing, and detailing every inch to perfection. The results were outstanding, with some of the cleanest, sharpest working trucks in the country on display.

Southpac Trucks Proud to Support the Event

For Southpac Trucks, the Bombay Truck Show is a highlight of the event calendar. It’s an opportunity to:

  • Catch up with customers and industry partners

  • See new and existing fleets up close

  • Celebrate the operators who put our trucks to work

  • Enjoy a great day out with the wider transport community

Being able to stand alongside the people who rely on our brands — Kenworth, DAF, TRP and more — is what makes events like this so rewarding.
