From working hay paddocks to road trains across Australia, Campbell built his skills the hard way, gaining experience that no classroom could teach. It was a hands-on education that shaped not just his career, but his entire approach to the industry.

Over the decades, Campbell worked his way through management positions across some of New Zealand's most demanding operations — large fleets in the South Island, Gisborne, and eventually Gilmour Transport Tokoroa, the business that today bears his family name. Each chapter brought new challenges, new terrain, and new lessons.
